Virtual IFS Therapy in Ontario

Virtual IFS Therapy for Adults Navigating Burnout, Trauma, Masking, ADHD, and Late Diagnosed Autism Across Ontario

Support for thoughtful, “high-functioning” (or high masking) adults experiencing people pleasing, emotional overwhelm, chronic overthinking, and neurodivergent burnout.

You may appear “fine” on the outside while feeling overwhelmed internally

Many of the people I work with are deeply self-aware, thoughtful, and highly capable. Others may see you as successful, responsible, insightful, or “high functioning,” while internally you feel exhausted, disconnected, anxious, emotionally stuck, or constantly in survival mode.

You may find yourself:

  • overthinking everything

  • intellectualizing your emotions instead of feeling them

  • masking or adapting to fit in

  • people pleasing or overfunctioning in relationships

  • struggling to slow down without guilt

  • feeling chronically overwhelmed or burned out

  • questioning whether you might be Autistic or ADHD

  • carrying shame despite being highly competent

  • feeling disconnected from yourself underneath it all

These patterns often develop for important reasons. Therapy can help you understand them with more compassion, clarity, and self-trust.

Areas of Support

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy

IFS therapy helps you understand the different parts of yourself with curiosity rather than judgment. Together, we explore the protective patterns that may have developed around anxiety, perfectionism, people pleasing, overwhelm, emotional disconnection, or self-criticism.

Trauma, People Pleasing & Overachieving

Patterns like overachieving, perfectionism, emotional intellectualizing, or chronic people pleasing often develop as ways of staying safe, connected, or valued. Therapy can help you understand these responses compassionately while building greater internal safety and authenticity.

ADHD & Neurodivergent Burnout

Many neurodivergent adults spend years pushing themselves beyond their limits while trying to appear capable, productive, or “together.” Therapy can support emotional regulation, self-understanding, burnout recovery, and building a more sustainable relationship with yourself.

Late Diagnosed Autism & High Masking

Some Autistic adults are not identified until later in life because they became highly skilled at masking, analyzing social interactions, adapting to others, or overperforming. Therapy can offer space to better understand yourself beyond survival strategies and external expectations.

What therapy can feel like

I offer virtual therapy for adults across Ontario using an IFS-informed, trauma-informed, and neurodivergent-affirming approach.

Our work together is not about “fixing” who you are. It is about understanding the internal patterns, protective strategies, and experiences that may be contributing to overwhelm, burnout, emotional disconnection, or feeling stuck.

Therapy may help you:

  • feel more connected to yourself

  • understand your emotional patterns more clearly

  • reduce shame and self-criticism

  • navigate relationships with greater authenticity

  • better understand your neurodivergence

  • build capacity for emotional regulation

  • move beyond survival-based coping patterns

  • create a life that feels more sustainable and aligned

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out

Many people come to therapy after years of trying to understand themselves on their own. You may already be highly reflective, emotionally insightful, or deeply informed about trauma, ADHD, Autism, or nervous system patterns — while still feeling stuck in ways you cannot fully think your way out of.

Therapy can offer a different kind of space: one that allows for curiosity, complexity, compassion, and a more connected relationship with yourself.
